Twisted names

Beer club Het Lindeke put on a great evening of tasting 6 beers with ‘crazy’ names. Each beer was accompanied by a history of the brewer and how they came to name their beers. Some cool videos and a well researched history accompanied some tasty brews. There are some twisted tales to tell, including about the labels. I will certainly try to get the original label conceived for De Meester’s Meestereske, a much more revealing illustration than the one now used. The votes for the best beer, and most obvious name, went to “Hard Brett-XIT, bitter, sweet and sour with a touch of regret”  by Alvinne. Vossen Met de Meynen also goes into the deep with its Soixante-Neuf. The Beer Idiots say thanks for a well run and very sociable event.

I am a Canadian beer idiot living in Brussels with Karine and our son Elliott. I am here for the beer, good talk and good writing.
