Michel Collot and Bruno Jacobs co-founded La Brasserie Belge in a section of Liège known as Herstal, with another friend, Pierre-Yves Meeckers, a pharmacist and master brewer around 2018.
Collot is a designer and marketer. Jacobs is a scientist-turned-entrepreneur who also had a passion for making beer.
Currently they make a blond, a dark beer and a fruit beer under their own brand – La Belgicus – and also make beers for other brands, custom orders and events.
They have the capacity to produce about 10,000 standard 330 ml bottles a week at the brewery.
