A Parisian duo formed in 2022, Total Resistance draws its influences from early 1980s machine-driven post-punk. Blending chorus bass, new wave synths and EBM rhythms, their music is reminiscent of New Order, DAF, Front 242 and Parade Ground, with a touch of dark lyricism, led by desperate vocals reminiscent of Ian Curtis (Joy Division) and Robert Smith (The Cure). The quartet unveils the single “Polarized / I Loved You?!” in September 2022. This was followed by the album ‘Echoing Reverie’, released 2023. Produced by Len Lemeire (Anne Clark, 32Crash, Implant) the album is unanimously acclaimed by the international press, and enabled the band to play extensively in Europe. In 2025 the band released their new album, ‘Paradoxical Sleep’.
