This September sees the return of the Paint & Beer festival.
Saturday the 17th at the new ADM Noord.

The street art and graffiti event Paint & Beer has built a strong reputation in the cultural underground over the years. First established in 2008, the event brought together invited local artist and from all over Europe as we as the best locally brewed beer.
Beginning with just ten artists the first year to over a hundred in later editions , this event has grown from strength to strength.
Starting out at Villa Friekens, a large squatted industrial site in Amsterdam Noord, it’s large production hall and surrounding terrain was an ideal setting for larger than life art pieces.
When Villa Friekens was evicted in 2016, Paint & Beer relocated to the famous ADM squat in Amsterdam’s western harbor district.
After a long struggle ADM was also evicted, this combined with covid meant that Paint & Beer was forced to take a break until 2020, when a condensed version at Roze Tanker in Amsterdam Noord took place. It has been a long journey but we are excited to bring the full version of Paint & Beer to the new ADM Noord this September.

As well as artworks being created live, we have a music program from Rauwe School, quality beers from Friekens Brouwerij and a wide selection of street food. Children, from toddlers to teenagers, can try their hand with a spray can or brush in their own designated area. In the evening visitors are invited to enjoy this huge open air gallery as the beer flows and music plays on. The day after, the exhibition will continue alongside the monthly ADM Market.

This is a non profit event, all artists are travelling here to painting for you for free. With no sponsorship or corporate intervention this event is by the people for the people.
